Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello, born April 18 1967, is an American actress and producer as well as writer. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999) and Coyote Ugly(2000), The Cooler(2003), The History of Violence(2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor2008, Prisoners2013, Grown-Ups2010 and Lights Out (2016) are some of her films. Bello was a prominent figure on TV as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998) as well with other prominent roles, including Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath, and Jacqueline Sloane in the first season of Goliath, a Special Agent on NCIS from 2017-2021. Bello was raised in Norristown to Kathy Bello and Joe Bello. In the field of political science, Bello majored in political science at Villanova University. Bello trained her acting skills through a variety of New York theater productions following graduation. Bello has her son Jackson with her former boyfriend Dan McDermott. She published a blog in November of 2013 about her identical-sex relationship with Clare Munn, and how it ended. She released a book titled Whatever...Love Is Loving: Examining the Labels We Give to ourselves (Dey Street Books, April 28, 2015).
